Making : Painted From Memory

The effort in creating the images in this series spanned several people and places, with the props used coming in from personal collections, carrying with them the inheritance of memory, and forming a perfect framework for the shoot …can you spot the vintage hurricane lantern and the postcard sets from the South Of France and Italy?

Meanwhile, for the portrait shoot, Uma found the perfect muse in Madhulika Sharma, our model for the series.

Shot in two cities, on two separate dates, with teams coming together for the project, we were more than thrilled with the final results!

The talented team who worked on this project were –

Creative Director/Photographer: Uma Damle
Stylist: Sarah Ishtiyaque
Muse: Madhulika Sharma
MUA: Sheeny Kaul
Art director(Still Life): Kirin Vas
